Part of ~lance's adventure in Piniglarism

After Tech beat UGA last year I had about 30 folks want to say something about UGA. I had one person go on and on about Tech and how they loved Tech. This person rarely even speaks to me but they found opportunity to talk about the game last year. I had one person sing the “Hallelujah Chorus” when they saw me and said they were so glad UGA lost. Some of the Tech fans were just excited about a win and wanted to share it, others were just obnoxious.
I never talk to other fans after a game they lose. Before a game, I love a little trash talk. Before a game you may hear stuff like, “Your team stinks!” “I didn’t know they let girls play division one football” “Its great to be a gator hater!”
After the game if the dawgs win, I don’t say a word, unless you want to talk about the game. Even in that conversation I probably bring up good points about the losing team.
My friends are an exception to this because I want to hear their obnoxious rants about the game because they have earned the teasing but if I don’t talk to you regularly about football don’t bring it up after a UGA loss.
So skip to this season when UGA lost their first game, tons of folks wanted to say smart remarks. I just smiled and said I hoped the season got better.
When Tech lost to Miami I didn’t utter a word.
This year I didn’t say one word about the UGA/Tech game to any Tech fan.
The funny this was, not one single Tech fan spoke to me about the game.
Nothing….Nada….Zilch…
Maybe Tech fans will learn from this season and leave me alone, but then again…
