Last night we had a youth fellowship.  We had some pizza and spent most of the night swimming.  I carved out a time in our fellowship so we could pray for our ministry and our pastor search committee.  The night was slightly interrupted by a passing storm.

I had an interesting read today by Henry Blackaby.  He gives reasons why leaders should pray.

Here are 6 reasons that Blackaby tells Leaders to pray:

1. Prayer is an essential leadership activity.

2. Prayer brings the Spirit’s filling.

3. Prayer brings God’s wisdom.

4. Prayer accesses God’s power.

5. Prayer relieves stress.

6. Prayer reveals God’s agenda.

You may remember last year when I posted about Sammy Stephens and his flea market.

Yesterday on our way home from camp, we stopped by to visit with Sammy and I even got my picture taken.

Camp has been great.  The students had a slightly different schedule today but it worked out great.  We had our free time first thing in the morning and then went to celebration in the afternoon.  We then headed to a “fast food” type seafood restaurant.  Fishtails the restaurant is not a great supper option.  We might as well went to Denny’s!  We left supper and headed over to evening worship.  We had another great evening of worship with David Nasser.  After the message was over I had the chance to talk with Jeremy about becoming a Christian.  Jeremy decided that last night he wanted to give his life to Christ.  Welcome home little buddy!

We finished the evening with a church group devotion and several of the students stayed up until 3 am.

Last night we looked at the word Glory.  It was a great time of looking at the word.  The students stayed up until 2 am and we are getting ready for the beach.

This morning a storm quickly moved in and thankfully moved out just as quick.  We had a great time or worship and family groups.  At free time we entered in a dodgeball tournament.  We won our first match because of forfeit.  In out 2nd match we won the first game and then lost the next two.  For some reason, I was usually the first person eliminated!  We just finshed a delicious meal of chicken primavera pasta and garlic toast.  We are leaving for evening worship.

Yesterday was a great day.  We started from early morning and went to late night.  We had a late nite concert by Unhindered that totally rocked!  We are looking forward to another great day today.

We had some good family groups and another awesome bible study time with David Nasser.  We just got through with our free time for today.

We didn’t have the camera out much yesterday but here are a few pictures.

We had a great evening of worship with David Nasser and Ornan’s floor.  David shared about being followers of “The Way,” and the awesome adventure that awaits.

We have swam in the ocean, the pool, and even played some wii.  We had some good church time talking about expectations for the week and praying with each other.  I look forward to big things this week.
