I usually use Google.  So I wasn’t aware that Yahoo Maps had the church in the wrong location also.  Now if I can only figure out how to notify them that the church is a mile down the road.

Yesterday I caught a mouse. I have only tried this once before in my lifetime. Once when I was younger a mouse made its way into my parent’s house. We chased the thing for what seemed to be all evening. I’m not sure what happened to that poor mouse but I know that I never captured him.

Yesterday was a different story. I came around the corner at church and it slowly moved its tail and I froze. Not in fear but in complete capture mode. Luckily I was planning on throwing my Chick-fil-A cup away so I snuck up behind the little mouseketeer. With my snake killing strength I knew I was going to squash the rodent if I wasn’t careful. So I catapulted the cup across the room and onto the mouse.

As soon as the rodent was secured inside the cup I went for a heavy book. As the mouse lay trapped inside I could almost hear, “Meeska, mooska.” I thought carefully and was advised to take him outside. I looked for the cat that had taken up residence at the church over the last 2 weeks but couldn’t find him. I released the wild monster out of captivity and even had chance to snap a few pictures.

This year I have spent more on the advertising part of the upcoming road race Run4Missions.com 5K.  You may have seen posters/race applications around town and even yard signage around different parts of Macon.  I spent a little extra to be on some race websites too.  One of the biggest things I advertised on was the Around Town Magaznine.  Maybe you saw the blurb.  If not here is a picture of it.  If you haven’t made plans to buy a t-shirt, run/walk the race, or volunteer you can do that this week!  http://run4missions.com

Yesterday my friend Jason and I went and played Disc Golf at Lake Tobesofkee.  I have played at Redan Park before but I was excited about playing at a new course.   We played the first 18 and I didn’t fare to well.  We played the first 9 again and I broke even.  It was a ton of fun and I plan to go back.  If you’re interetsted in spending a couple of hours throwing around the ole disc just let me know!

Last night I went to the Tattnall prom lead-out.  It wasn’t as packed as previous years.  Several of my students were there and I enjoyed speaking to them and getting a snapshot or two.  Here is a picture I took last night.

For quite some time now, I have been praying that God will open a door for me to interact with non-church teenagers.  You know the ones raising hell, that everyone says “They would never be caught dead in a church!”  Not to pound my fist and yell at them and not even to try and get them to come to my church.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked about being the chaplain for the football team at Windsor.  Being a knight myself, this was a great honor for me to be asked.  I spent some time talking to people to gather their thoughts and I prayed about it.  I spent some time debating the pros and cons of this situation. (You see, I did the typical Christian thing, pray for something and when God sends it my way, then question and debate)

After some time I got back with the head coach and told him I would be excited about helping out with the team.  I am looking forward to this fall, and the new relationships that will be formed.  Go Knights!

So today I was checking out the Gatorade Peak Performance website.  Apparently I haven’t been drinking enough gatorade before I work out, during my workout, and after my workout.  Or maybe I haven’t been working out?
