Part of ~lance's adventure in Piniglarism

I was thinking about tonight and how much I enjoy watching “The Unit” with my sweetie, it made me remember that I didn’t post a recap of last week’s episode.
Last week The Unit was entitled “Every Step You Take”.
We see Betsy (Molly & Jonas’ daughter) at the dinner table with the rest of her family. She has decided to quit college (again) and her mother is quite upset. She reminds her mother that she only agreed to try and finish. Molly is frustrated with the lack of parenting that Jonas is displaying and lets him know about it. Betsy hands some papers to Jonas and he tells us that “She’s enlisted”.
Later we see Molly & Jonas together and she shares with Jonas how Betsy isn’t ready and how she needs to fix it. He says he can’t and that he wouldn’t even if he could. Jonas then decides to spend some time with his daughter on a little ride. After a ways down the road, he stops, orders her to get out with some gear and to meet him at camp 3 miles down the road. Later on Betsy makes it to camp but Jonas tells her that she must get her own water and hands her a pistol. Next we see Betsy in a tree and hear Jonas tell her how she could have died 3 times already. Then she is rock climbing and persists to continue climbing until she gets a good time. As evening comes, they share the love of daughter and daddy and even look at the stars. Jonas shares some war stories and also how he hoped the same act of grace he showed on a dying buddy would be given to him if in the same situation. Betsy later shoots a huge snake, that was slithering up while Jonas was doing some push-ups. They leave for home and Jonas still makes his daughter get her own way home. He tells her she has 4 options: Thieving, Hiking, Hooking, or Thinking. (Not really what I ever plan to tell my own daughter) When Betsy finally makes it back, she tells us that she would have been home sooner but the whole prostitution this is really complicated.
The other unit members are in an US embassy trying to get a bunch of idiots to leave their papers and get out of dodge. The embassy has been bombed and is currently under gunfire. The other internationals want to leave also, but are told the gunfire will stop, once the Americans are out. Mack gets shot in the arm and keeps going like it barely hurt.
Bob gets separated from the rest because one of the embassy members has been separated from his wife and child and they are going to get them. The unit members and their newly acquired friends from the embassy are riding on a old school bus to safety. The bus gets hit and the Americans must unload, they unluckily unload into a live mine field. As they are trying to slowly and carefully work their way through the field, Bob and the family try to make diversions from any oncoming gunfire. Bob is forced to work with “Gus” and finds out that he doesn’t have the guts to pull the trigger on a gun. He later redeems himself with some quick fancy shooting when Bob’s gun locks up. Meanwhile the gang in the minefield almost blows up everyone by their stupid ways. I don’t know if any of them would have been able to win Simon Says. Mack yells and expresses his anger and lets the guy know that he is not planning to die for this man. Help finally arrives and Mack tells the guy to let him know that he is proud of his son. They hug and it’s just another days work for The Unit.
