Part of ~lance's adventure in Piniglarism

Last night I went with the Children to a Braves Game. The Braves had already eliminated themselves from the playoffs so I was mainly interested in the “All you can eat seats”.
When we ordered our tickets we also received a 2nd ticket that was to be redeemed for a wrist band at Isle 427. We arrived as the national anthem was being sung, so we hurried to obtain our wristbands. When we got to Isle 427 it looked like a goat rodeo was in progress. There was one braves official with a huge strand of wristbands and another official with a black sharpie taking tickets. We weren’t aware of the “system” so we got in line with the wristband girl. After getting close enough, I overheard her tell someone else that you have to give your ticket to the sharpie guy. So we headed over to his line and he marked our ticket, so we could give our marked ticket to the wristband girl. (Reminds me of the guy who “tears” tickets at the movie theater)
We got into the food line and were anticipating food, food, and more food! The All you could eat seats menu consisted of: Tortilla Chips & Cheese, Popcorn, Peanuts, Hot-dogs, Coke, Sprite, & Diet Coke. You could only get food from one vendor and the line during the 4th inning became ridiculously long.
My first trip I got 2 hot-dogs, one cups of peanuts, some tortilla chips & cheese, and a coke. The chips were super stale. I think they were left over from the last game, because others who got chips later in the game were not stale. The hot-dogs were good and the peanuts were good. I decided to go back and get 2 more dogs and 2 cokes. The cokes were small in size and you needed to get a couple each visit.
As the night progressed the vendor ran out of ice and was only giving drinks without ice. I definitely left the game with a full stomach.
I don’t think I would get these seats again, but it was nice to have unlimited drinks while watching the game.
Quote of the night from Luke
“I wish I had some cookies, that I could write my telephone number on and throw onto the baseball field for the players to have.”
