Last night Heather and I ate some mexican food.  It was quite tasty, especially since the food at camp was downright awful!  It’s good to sleep in my own bed.

I just got back from a week of Centri Kid. That’s a whole week with 500 kids. We had a good week. Last night they decided to call up all the leaders. This is not something I normally want to do. When we got on stage they wanted us to play our best air guitar.

Since I am a frequent Air Guitar website visitor. I knew that I was ready to rock!

The music began, and I totally rocked the house, I even slicked back the eyebrows. My body rocked with the music and I even gave a kick to all my fans.

After the music faded away they decided the voting by hovering a hand over your head and hearing applause from the audience. Since I only brought 10 to camp my applause was very limited.

I just got back to my room and it has been a packed week so far.  I have some thoughts from the past week:

Monday – Going to the Dentist is miserable

Tuesday – Who are all these candidates?  Do they think they will win without any advertisting?

People look at you funny if you play loud music.  Even if it’s praise songs!

Wednesday – Mom Jeans aren’t cool, but I look good in my favorite Jeans and God is like my favorite Jeans

Thursday – White Water wasn’t created for having fun but so teenagers can have a job in the summer lifeguarding.

Friday -  Going out to supper with friends is really awesome

Saturday – When you think it’s your turn to ride the jet ski, make sure the battery isn’t dead, because it’s a long way back to the boat ramp!

Sunday – Whether or not you want to swim or even if you brought your trunks, you may still end up swimming

Monday – No matter how clear and repetitive you are about your order at Wendy’s they will still get it wrong

Today – Camp food could be renamed to La Croix

Today is one of those days that I seemed to keep seeing the same person.  One example was when I saw the dentist at the pool.  That was weird.

Tomorrow I am taking Lucy to the vet.  She has developed an infection on one of her feet.  She got it from some pine sap that was in the yard and I couldn’t get it off.  She eventually chewed it off but she made her foot infected at the same time.  I hate seeing her wimper around like she is.  Hopefully the vet can get her paw fixed.

We just came in from the Ocean and we are getting cleaned up and ready to go and get some seafood.  I always like going out to eat one night while at camp.  2 years ago I took the group to Denny’s.  I thought it was a great place to eat.  Has anyone ever heard of the Grand Slam?  I mean what more could you ask for.  Well there was a couple of folks who wished we would have eaten seafood while we were at the beach.  So this year we are headed down to the harbor to try and get some seafood.  This is my first time to Daytona Beach and so I am not sure of all of the good eating establishments.  I was given one suggestion called the Innlet Harbor but the prices were a little more pricey than I wanted to pay.

This morning Louie did another great job.  Some of the students told me it was their favorite talk.  Tonight Louie told all of the youth pastors he was planning to speak on serving.  That is actually one of my favorite things to speak on.  After our celebration service we have a concert by Shane and Shane planned.   I have several of their cd’s and I am interested in what songs they will play tonight.

Tonight is our final group devotion for camp.  Please pray for this evening.

It was a great night.  We came we saw we worshiped.

The front row was amazing.  We even had front row seats for the Bethany Dillon concert.  It was great.

Jason led us in devotion tonight and now we are headed to sleep.   It has been a good day.

11 brave souls decided to get to the conference center early and try and make it to the front row. Well we are sitting on the front row! Its awesome!

We had a great day so far. Jason made it safely and everyone is having a great day. The ocean was super, there was wave after wave to try and ride in.

Right now I am headed to the ocean.  We are having great sunshine and good waves.  This morning Louie made fun of Macon, GA.  It was quite funny.  Lunch was great and Leanna is making some awesome deserts!  I think I am going to gain 100 lbs before Saturday.  Tonight a group of us are going to try an sit on the front row.  It’s going to be awesome.

This morning we had the opening celebration worship service and it was good.  They had some funny video skits and a silly drama to wake everyone up.  Chris Tomlin taught us some new songs and we prasied God through song and prayer.

We have played at the beach and pool and now are getting ready for supper and our evening worship service.

We just got through with breakfast and now we are in our family groups.  Family groups are just smaller groups for bible study.  The Leaders are: Leanna, Sarah, Heather.  Please pray for them.

Leanna just decided to move her group to my room.  She is so strange………..Just kidding….not really…..no really…….ok, just joshing…….

Tonights service was awesome! Louie brought a word that was applicable. He talked about Heaven coming down. It was new and fresh. I am looking forward to the rest of the week.

We have a small break until late night. I think I have to get on stage tonight and compete with other youth pastors. Maybe they will have a singing contest?

We are checked in and enjoying some of jerri’s taco salad. We had a quick ride and a fairly good check in. There is a huge buzz for the worship service tonight.

We are on the road to Daytona. Its going to be a great week. Students seem to be anticpating a good week. Many of them are coming to their first camp. Alan says he is very excited about his first camp. He has always heard good things but never experienced it for himself. We plan to stop for lunch soon and go ahead and get registered.
