We just got through eating and hanging out at Inner Harbor. It was a nice easy evening. I ate at the Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore. We even got some ice cream at the marble slab. After dinner we took pictures and danced to a jim croce cover band. Bad bad leroy brown…

Well the breakfast bars went ok this morning.  It was super early and we hit the areas around the church and passed out free granola bars.  My group had a hard time giving ours away.  No one wanted any.  It was quite funny when we got back on the bus and everyone else had given theirs away.  We came back to the hotel and grabbed some breakfast and then we left again for Bethlehem Baptist Church.  We painted a wall on the back side of the church and also did yard work.  Some random projects like cleaning, fixing the church sign, vacumming, and trash pick up were some of the others.  We also sent a team out to blitz the neighborhoods with brochures.  We had a KFC lunch, and finished up our projects.

Afterwards we listened to Pastor Darnell and just got a glimpse of his heart for the community and for Baltimore.  It was refreshing to hear him talk about all the good things happening at his church and the area.

We are getting washed up and ready for supper.

We are on our way to the city streets. We are getting ready to do some servant evangelism. We are going to pass out breakfast bars to drivers for completely free. Its going to be awesome!

We just left the game and had a great time. We were 7 rows up in the outfield. It was a great night. We had about 9 drops of rain and the rest wonderful sunshine. The orioles lost 4 to 0 to the phillies. Orioles fans are much louder than braves fans. I really love how they stress “O” in the national anthem. I wish the braves fans stressed braves in the national anthem.

We are driving over to the game. Everyone has showered and is all pretty now. I am looking forward to a foot long and some coke. Its going to be a good night.

We are leaving the elementary school. We painted 5 and a half class rooms in a beautiful shade of yellow and blue. We also painted the 3rd floor hallway. We had a good day of painting. The city hasn’t used the school in 2 years and the baptist association has decided to come in and paint the school so they can begin using the school again.

When we left the assocation members told us how hard we worked and how much we got done today. Hopefully more teams can come in and get the rest done.

We are headed back to the hotel to try and get some paint off of us.

We are headed to Pemlico elementary school. The baptist association has adopted this school and we are headed there to paint. We will be painting inside and staying out of the sun.

Speaking of the sun, its not raining. Its not flooding, there isn’t any water on the ground. We are not being washed away!

Today we finished up all the brochures and even went back to the church and got more and passed those out too.  All of the rain has passed and the sun was in full effect.  It was a hot day.  We had some down time at the church and we shot some hoops while waiting for the car wash to start.  We got out in front of the church and advertised our free car wash.  We washed several cars and called it a day.  We are back at the hotel getting some dinner.  We are going to have devotion in just a little bit and then get some rest.

We are headed to Middle River to try and finish the brochures. We have about 3500 to try and get out. I really want to finish these up so that our folding and stuffing doesn’t goto waste.

Last night we had some down town and we went to the mall. It was a nice mall and it even had a cinn a bon !

We worked at the food bank today and it was a good day.  The volunteer cordinator just called me to brag on how good our group worked.  She said we had one of the most pleasant and respectful groups she had worked with.

We sorted through donated food and also boxed same kinds together.  We built boxes and moved pallets all day.  It was a good day and the students worked hard.  Every boxed product we stacked was weighed so that it could be sold.

Today our group did 7,104 boxed product.  They calculate how much each box can serve a meal by the poundage and we packaged 5,683 meals today.

It was a good day.

We are relaxing before we eat supper.

We are sitting in our food bank orientation class right now. We are learning what they can keep and what has to be thrown away.

The students loved the food bank last year, and are very anxious to get out into the warehouse.

We had a good day.  We went back to Middle River to blitz and we experienced some rain.  We left and it was barely misting but time Juanita picked us up we were soaked.  We made 4 teams to cover more ground and got quite a few flyers out.

Pastor Don came and led us in our devotion and encouraged and even told us a personal story of how he used to invite Hulk Hogan to “youth group” and how he became a christian when he was a teenager.

Several students are fired up about tomorrow and keep remembering the barrels from last year.

Yesterday we drove through quite a bit of rain. We were slowed down by the rain and I was hoping it would just blow over. This morning it began raining and hasn’t let up. We had a great tour of the aquarium and the dolphin show was really neat. We ate at the dairy queen and headed over to Middle River Baptist Church in Baltimore. We folded close to 12,000 pieces of material and stuffed them into plastic door hanger bags. Its been a great day and many of the students are opening up and really contributing to the group.

We are about to eat some beef ravioli and head back out to blitz.

We have arrived early for the dolphin show and it looks to be a packed house. After the show we are headed to lunch and then to Middle River for our first day of service.

We are parking the bus and headed to the aquairum. The parking is very limited. Most students are pretty quiet right now watching all of the passing landmarks. Hey look “Big Ben”
