Well I don’t have any kickin plans for the day.  Maybe I will build a rocket?

This past weekend I went to some graduations.  Usually I don’t attend graduations because I am on vacation, but this year I went to two of them.  I went to one that was outside and it was particularly interesting because a fire started.  Someone put a candle to close to some garland.  The other one, was at a church.  I was super impressed by the friendliness of the volunteers there.  I have told around 30 folks about how impressed I was by their friendliness.  I have heard all kinds of comments, some of them were:

“They probably pay their volunteers”  “That’s because they are so big”  “I couldn’t imagine”  “I just don’t know how they do it”

When people believe and buy into the vision, amazing things can happen….

Last night I went to Zaxby’s and Starcadia and then hung out on the playground (where I spend most of my days)  It was a blast.

This past weekend seemed to fly by.  I went with my dad to the funeral home to help him pick out some things and I am just amazed by the costs associated with death.  I played a roll in making sure Dad didn’t pay too much for the funeral. I see how it can easily be done.  You are upset because of your lost loved one and you aren’t thinking straight and the funeral home keeps throwing numbers at you, and it can be confusing when your mind isn’t going in a million directions.

I watched the Davici Code on Saturday.  Put aside the incosistencies and false truths and the movie was just average.  I never connected with the characters.  It was also way to long, if you have a good movie plot then you can develop that, if not KEEP IT SHORT!

Yesterday was my wedding anniversary.  Heather and I decided to go to the Fish n’ Pig by the lake.  It was pretty good.  I didn’t know what to expect but the place was packed and I didn’t know if we were going to be able to get a table.  We went in and sat right down.  It is a pretty big place.  I hear that they are super busy on the weekend.  You should try it out.

The doctor told me on tuesday that I wouldn’t be walking for 6 weeks. Doesn’t this seem a little long? I think I will go crazy if I have to be out for 6 weeks. Let’s see what all I could do:

1. Start my own cucumber shaver business. (Maybe I could be researching this with Kaitlyn to see exactly how I should market it)

2. Start my own Lost website. (Possibly Ifyouaregoingtofighttheothersmakesureyoutakeeckowithyou.com )

3. Star in my own feature film (The amazing fat guy laying around on his couch) Watch as this guy lays around for days and does absoutely nothing!

4. Teach Lucy some new tricks (It would be great if she could make me a sandwich and bring it to me, maybe I should start this one now!)

5. Braid my gotee hairs

6. Start my campaign to be mayor. (I have no idea how to be mayor or what to do if elected)

7. Make up a new word. (I hear that making up words can be fun)

8. Convince Heather that I need a big screen high def plasma tv since I will be forced to watch tv.

9. Finish a book ( Please see 8 first, I didn’t do that good of a job convincing)

10. Practice my solo for church.

Well I went to the doctor yesterday and he believes I have a torn ACL.  I will still have to have the MRI to insure his hypothesis.  It was a very long day.

I just spent 3 nights on vacation in the wonderful Orlando Florida.  It was awesome.  We went to MGM studios and had a great time together.  It was a much needed break.

Last night I was driving around and a big tree had fallen on the road.  This was the first time I actually got to use the 4 wheel drive on my truck.  Several of the cars were stopped and turning around, but not me, I just drove around the tree.  What a great 1st time to use my truck.

Last night on Lost, several things were answered, especially about the hatch.  One dumb this is that Locke put his map into the funnel transport thing.  What was he thinking?

I  loved last night’s episode.  I can’t wait for the next 2 weeks!

Yesterday I decided to start a new project.

Let me go over the projects that I have done so far:

I have picked up a trailer that I received from my father and cleaned it out.

Cut down an Azalea tree

Cleaned out some around my little storage shed

and yesterday, I pressure washed my driveway.

I thought this was going to be an easy task.  It seemed to take me longer than I anticipated.   And to top it all off, I don’t own enough water hoses to finish the driveway.  I reckon I will just have to buy a new hose today.

Yesterday I met my friend Robby for lunch.  It was good to see him.  I rarely see him and now he has a new baby and he is busier than ever.  We talked about old times and even some current things happening in our lives.  It was good.

I think my sister is hooked on lost now.  It doesn’t take long, if you start from the first season and begin watching you will get hooked!  If you want to borrow my season 1 I don’t mind.  Just let me know.  I want as many people hooked as possible.  Yesterday I began thinking about some new series to talk about in 2007.  I am thinking about a Lost series, a Davinci Code series, and a love series.

With the Lost series I was thinking about just a series on coming to know Christ in a personal way.  The Davinci code series I was thinking about combining all the things I have been receiving lately and putting together a series.  ( I would have to wait until the movie comes out anyway )  and the love series is something I want to make sure I am doing every 2 years.  I may need to do this once a year.  I had some one hit wonder ideas but couldnt’ seem to put them into a series.  I was thinking about a cartoon series but couldn’t remember to many cartoons to even do them.  I mainly was thinking about areas to speak on and then try to take themes and put them into a series.  Sometimes I see what other youth pastors are doing or crazy things I like.  A huge part of me wants to do something with Everybody loves Raymond.  There are so many teaching points in those shows and I just love Raymond myself.  If you have any ideas that you would think would be good just let me know.
