I just got trhough reading an interesting article where Eugene Peterson is allowing a company to try and get his translation to some new folks. Here is the back cover:

Well I am still losing some unneeded pounds. I have 35 days to lose 10 lbs. Hopefully I don’t plateau again.
Just think in 17 months I have lost 49 pounds.
I went out on saturday and got my foot fitted for some running shoes. It was the first time I have had this much attention for my feet. They watched me walk, stand and even looked at the bottom of my shoes to see how I wear down the bottoms.
On Sunday I injured my knee. Actually I am sitting in the doctors office right now. There is a loud baby in here right now, and the “baby’s daddy” keeps looking at the infant and repeating “So”. I am not really sure if this is helping.
Hopefully my leg won’t have to be cut off. But you never know! Later today, I am going to work on the road race and knock out some stuff for the mission trip.

Well I am fixing to leave for the day and go speak at Mercer.  They must have been hard up to ask me to come and speak.

After that I am headed to Patrick’s soccer game.

I am thinking of starting a new church.

Let’s see…I have had alot on my mind lately. Very Dangerous…

This past weekend, was spent traveling around Baltimore, MD.  It is an interesting city.  When we arrived in Baltimore we immediately went to pick up our rental car from Hertz.  I think the woman behind the counter must have worked at Wendy’s prior to coming to Hertz because she was totally rude.  She got super mad when I asked her what she was getting me to sign.  The bottom clearly stated if you are unsure what you are signing please ask!  Then, right before we left she says, “Thank you have a good day”, in her best pre-recorded voice.  When we finally get to the car their is a huge stank.  Yeah that’s right STANK!  We had to let the windows stay down most of the day to try and get the smell out.  We visited with the church and the foodbank on thursday and then ate dinner at the Califonia Pizza Kitchen.  This was pretty good.  While we were at the inner harbor we did notice some sweet dragons.  I can’t wait to get back and ride those dragons!  Friday we spent most of the day looking for a good priced hotel.   We found several with good prices but one stood out .  Friday night we headed to Camden yards and Jonathan caught a batting practice homerun ball.  It was a great evening but the rain finally came in the 8th inning.  On our way home our flight was delayed 30 minutes.

Sunday seemed to go on forever.  Mainly because I didn’t leave the church all day.  We had a great Run4Missions.com meeting and during the evening service 2 folks were baptized.  The preschool committee hired a new intern and that is very exciting!

Yesterday was my birthday.  It was a good day.  I bought a new cd as a birthday gift to myself.  I even had one student to call me and wish me a happy birthday.  Heather and I ate at my favorite restaurant Carrabba’s.  It was a great meal!

I spent most of the day in the youth room trying to clean and organize the room again.  Sometimes it just becomes messy.

Today I’m not going into the office at all.  I am taking a day off!
