Well I have been out fighting piniglarism, so I have lots to talk about.

Tonight we are doing our annual missions 6Forty.  We are making some baskets to take to the local nursing home. It should be a good night.

I spent the night in the hospital a couple of nights ago.  It was quite an experience.  I have never slept at the hospital before.  Actually I have never even been to the hospital for myself, so I don’t have any knowledge of what they do until now!  They came into the room every 45 minutes or 1 hour to do something.  Why in the world would anyone need to be weighed at 3:45 in the morning?  Are you kidding me?

I went to the Atlanta Hawks game this past weekend.  They need a big name to draw in a crowd.  They need to get Michael Jordan to come out of retirement.

Tonight I finish up a 3 week series called “You crazy, I ain’t going there” “From Dusk Till Dawn”.  It’s been a good series, I look forward to tonight at 6Forty.  I have started getting applications in for the 5K roadrace.  If you haven’t sent yours in you can go ahead and do so by downloading the race application from www.run4missions.com

Lost is new tonight.  I really am sticking to my idea that Michael is going to find out that somebody else is one of the “others” living among the camp or that he is going to find out an attack plan conspired by the “others”.  Maybe not tonight, but it’s coming!

April begins the real deal slim down plan.  I have just been goofing around about losing weight but in April it’s crunch time.  But not Captain Crunch or Crunch n Munch time.

This past weekend was a good Missions Roundup 2006 weekend.  The students really worked and worked hard.  I really think that many of them are starting to realize that it’s not about them, but about God.

It’s funny what people will say.  Here are some things I heard this weekend:

“lance, where do you work?”

“Boy, You don’t know who I am do you?”

“What?  How did you know that?”

“I work this hard everyday”

“I wonder why there is so many beer bottles laying around here”

“I don’t know why he keeps calling me”

“Alot of these don’t work… No we didn’t plug them in”

Maybe I don’t appreciate the same things.

Well my phone isn’t working properly.  It just calls random folks whenever it wants to, so I am beginning to look for a new phone.  I really want to wait for the new sidekick to come out but I have to have a phone for work.  If it gets worse I am ditching this one and going with a new brand.  If I call you by accident.  Just let me know.

Today’s tournament was a fun one.  Here is a brief summary:

Jonathan and I got to Lee’s Haircutting early.  We warmed up just a little and then waited for our turn to pitch.

Jonathan got paired up with a guy that looked good in the warmups.  Jonathan pitched first and looked good.  Jonathan ended up getting beat after 2 and half frames.   I pitched next.  In practice, I did very poor.  So I was a little nervous about how I was going to do.  I ended up throwing 2 ringers and winning 10 to 2.  Not a great score but it did put me to the next round.  The next guy I went against made it to the final 2 the year before.  I ended up getting beat 21-9 after 3 and half frames.  We came back for the finals and the guy who beat Jonathan actually ended up winning the whole tournament.  It was a good day.  Look for the podcast sometime tomorrow night.

Don’t worry about coming at 2. Jonathan and I just got beat. Jonathan played the guy who will probably win the tournament!

Lee’s Barbershop Forsyth GA

Yesterday Jonathan and I hit the pits to pitch a few horseshoes.  It was  a good practice round.  I will definately need a little more practice if I plan to make it past the first person.  I start a new series tonight.  I am talking about the morning time.  It should be a good lesson especially since I am not a morning person.

Yesterday while I was at Sam’s I had to return a USB drive that didn’t work.  I stood in line for 45 minutes trying to return it.  While I was there, somebody returned a cake!  She said it was dry.  Are you kidding me?  You can return a half eaten cake and say it’s dry?  Maybe I should return the rest of my ribeye, It does seem to be a little fatty.  This porkchop I was eaten seems to have a bone, I want my money back!  The customer is not always right!  I learned that very quickly while working in food service.  Some people just like to complain.  Some people just want their money back because they changed their mind.  Let’s see what I can return……

This upcoming weekend Jonathan and I are entered in the Forsythia Festival Annual Horseshoe Tournament.  Make sure you come by and see us pitch a few!  More details to come later this week.

This past weekend was good. I went to Dj’s Galaxy Quest with Cole.  It was fun.  We had a good time.  The place is very run down.  Half of the stuff there didn’t work.  The girl at the food counter was very rude and mad that I ordered 3 pizzas and 5 pitchers of drink.  Starcadia is way more fun than that place!

On Saturday I went to an eighties party.  I couldn’t decide who I wanted to dress like so I dressed up as a Hair Band Member.  We even had Karaoke.  So be thankful you weren’t there.  I was awful!

Yesterday I played a little DDR3.  Those back arrows are hard!  Maybe after I lose 20 pounds I will be a little more agile.

We watched an outdoor movie last night.  The Corpse Bride.  This was the first time I didn’t hear alot of moaning and complaning about the movie.  Maybe it was because I didn’t tell them the movie until we got there or because they were interested in seeing it.  Who knows, but the belly aching was to a minimum.

I am going to get a haircut this week, Practice pitching some shoes, and start a new series entilted From Dust Til Dawn.  It’s going to be a busy week.  I do have a little free time though, because Lost is a re-run this week and next week.  So maybe I catch up on some things.
